Roadmap

The roadmap is the issue tracker. Every planned feature is an open issue labelled roadmap.

The roadmap lives in GitHub issues, so it's never out of date the way a page would be. Every planned feature is an open issue labelled roadmap.

By area

AreaWhat's open
AutomationTriggers, DM content and delivery: button templates, follow gates, follow-up DMs, tracked links, CSV import
AnalyticsCharts, a paginated logs page, per-rule performance, top keywords, follower history, post insights, a shareable report page
Instagram APIMore of Meta's Graph API: the messages webhook, a DM inbox, typed Meta errors
OperationsExporting and re-importing rules and logs, an operational event log
Admin panelDark mode

Each issue also carries an effort label: effort: small is roughly an evening, effort: medium is a few sessions, and effort: large needs a design decision before anyone builds it.

Already shipped

These have shipped:

  • {username} in the DM and public reply (#30). {link} waits for tracked links (#23).
  • Exclusions, so a rule skips comments like "how much" (#22).
  • A per-rule choice between whole-word and anywhere-in-the-comment matching (#21).
  • Rules that reply to every comment on one post, for giveaways and waitlists (#32).
  • Public reply variations, one picked at random per comment (#31).
  • Keywords in any script (#19), with accents on Latin letters folded away (#20, #67).
  • Rule templates (#38).
  • Home totals for today, 7 days, 30 days and all time (#39).
  • An admin panel you can install on a phone (#51).
  • /health for uptime monitors (#46).
  • Database migrations tracked by Wrangler, so an update can change existing tables (#45).
  • A send queue that keeps each account under Instagram's hourly limit, with retries for DMs Instagram turns down for now (#35).
  • Public replies from the other rules a comment matches, for rules set to post one without their own DM (#36).
  • Comments on a boosted post's ad matching the rule for the original post (#34).

Using it explains each one, and Updating your copy covers migrations. The changelog lists every release.

Picking one up

Start with good first issue: those are self-contained and have the approach sketched out in the description. Comment to claim the issue and wait to be assigned before you start; Contributing explains why.

Suggesting something

Open a feature request. Check the open issues first, and read what belongs here: this stays a tool you run yourself, so a hosted multi-tenant version or a paid tier won't make the list.

For ideas that aren't a feature yet, there's Discussions.
